Asante Sana Yesu is sung in Swahili. Swahili also known by its native name Kiswahili, it is a Bantu language and the native language of the Swahili people. Description

Eugène Ceulemans (1958) is a Dutch composer with a great affinity for South Africa. He studied classical languages ​​at the University of Nijmegen and choral conducting and church music and school music at the conservatory in Arnhem. At the moment he works as a conductor of 7 choirs in the Netherlands and has often been guest conductor of the PUK choir in Potchefstroom. Apart from the Netherlands, Eugène has performed with his choirs in Belgium, Germany, Austria and Hungary. As a composer and arranger, he writes and adapts choral music in all possible styles, as is evident from the published works. He wrote ten full-length music theater productions for schools, 15 masses and hundreds of adaptations of arias, pop songs and folk songs. He received several commissions for writing cantatas and arrangements for renowned choirs. He has won prizes in composition competitions, including for his composition “Dan weet ik, dat ben Jij” (“Then I know, it’s You”). Another work worth mentioning is his choral adaptation of Corelli’s well known Christmas concert, which will also be published by Vektor Publishing.
